The UAE to UK steps UCAS doesn't cover
UCAS handles your university application. But applying to the UK from the UAE adds a whole layer UCAS never mentions: an English test for the visa, your CAS and visa, proof of funds, and the local school calendar. Ontrack maps each one, in order, beside your UCAS dates.
IELTS for UKVI
Most UAE students need an approved English test for the UK visa: IELTS for UKVI. Ontrack tracks booking and sitting it early, so it's done long before an offer arrives.
CAS, UK Student visa & VFS Global biometrics
After you accept an offer your university issues a CAS. Only then do you apply for the UK Student visa and book biometrics at VFS Global here in the UAE. Ontrack lays these out in the right order, each as an estimate you confirm at the source.
28-day proof of funds & the health surcharge
The visa asks you to hold the required funds for 28 consecutive days, plus budget for the Immigration Health Surcharge. Ontrack back-plans when to start holding funds so the 28-day window closes in time.
MoE equivalency — only if you need it
The UAE Ministry of Education equivalency is not needed to study in the UK through UCAS. It matters only for local safety universities or coming back to the UAE, so Ontrack shows it clearly labelled, never as a blocker to your UK plan.
The UAE school calendar (MoE unified)
UAE schools follow the Ministry of Education's unified academic calendar — one calendar UAE-wide, not a per-school one. Dubai's KHDA and Abu Dhabi's ADEK private schools align to it; Sharjah's SPEA may publish its own dates in a future year, so always confirm term dates with your school. Ontrack places those term dates and holidays beside your deadlines, and adds school-milestone estimates (EE, TOK, IA, mocks, EPQ) for your coursework.
